| CRTO Balcony |
2007 is over! We have started a new year – 2008! It seems off to a good start; the balconies which have been repaired and resurfaced are clean, rugged, and most attractive. It was worth living through noise, dust, and men suddenly appearing on your balcony. More balcony repairs are underway.

| Thriving Landscaping |
The Receiving Room has a new look! The worn-out flooring has been replaced by large attractive tiles. The landscaping is thriving in spite of water restrictions. Our new Manager, Rick Oliveria, is settling into the job, and many things are getting done to keep our building in top shape. It’s hard to believe that the first resident moved in October 1962. Some of them still live here.
Another improvement is the new trash chute. To avoid repair, bag all small garbage and toss it down. Cartons should either be broken down to small pieces, or put on the freight elevator.
“Our cup runneth over!” Please do not donate any more cookbooks to the Library! Cooking is not a favorite activity at CRT – been there, done that.
January 27th will be the White Elephant Sale. That’s Sunday, January 27, 2008 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Please bring your donations to the Community Room, Friday, 1/25/08 at 1:00 P.M., until Saturday 1/26/08 at 5:00 P.M. Bring your “Junque” down to be priced. (“Junque” are items someone might want to buy. “Junk” are items no one wants.) Bring on the “Junque”. There will be no silent auction this year; everything is for sale at the prices on the tag.

We have only two fundraisers every year, the White Elephant Sale and the upcoming Bake Sale. Profits from these go into the Social Activities Fund, which is used to help subsidize CRT Activities. Don’t forget to sign up for the February 1st Cabaret Dinner Show. Any Questions? Please contact Marge Melbourne.
The new year has started. Let us all hope for a healthy, happy and more peaceful New Year.
