Zagat

Zagat, pronounced za-GAT´ (rhymes with the cat), is the brand name of America's leading guides to restaurants and hotels. Zagat Surveys are questionnaires that list the names of hundreds of popular restaurants in a specific market. The published reviews are based on these surveys, with numerical ratings reflecting the average scores given by all survey participants who voted on each establishment and text based on direct quotes from, or fair paraphrasings of, participants’ comments. The resulting data has rapidly become some of the most sought after on the planet. Their restaurant reviews and hotel guides are an integral part of every major travel organization's set of vacation tools.
