There’s no better place to enjoy than our Caribé. The Town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea offers a quiet, secure place to walk and shop with all the natural benefits that South Florida affords. Supermarkets, shopping, and many good dining spots are close by. Want to stroll the streets in the evening, or walk the beach? You can, safely.
It’s easy to get involved in Caribé activities and social life. Our Women’s and Men’s Clubs offer an interesting assortment of activities. New members are always welcome at a very nominal cost.
The 17-story Caribé is uniquely configured. Because it has no cumbersome wings, it is set back from the spacious beach at an angle. A1A provides very convenient access from the west, and our northern boundary looks out on a quiet street in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. With exterior balconies instead of internal hallways, all units are spacious and enjoy multiple exposures. Your east window and balcony overlooks the swimming pool, the beach and the boats traversing an ocean composed of ever-changing colors. The sun rises from the ocean and sets on the beautiful city of Fort Lauderdale. From your bedroom’s view of the northern exposure, the city-view, the intra-coastal waterway and the quaint village of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and the beach all the way to the lighthouse at the Hillsboro Inlet (five miles to the north) are very beautiful sights.
There are 120 one bedroom, one bath units; and 30 two bedroom, 2 bath units. The two bedroom units offer additional views from their side windows. Concrete construction effectively eliminates any “inter-unit” noise and our covenants require sound absorbent flooring construction.
There is 24 hour guard service. Management and maintenance employees are cheerful and helpful. Facilities include a pleasant lobby, a large social room, exercise room, Bar-B-Q, swimming pool and beach. Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a low-rise community, great for strolling, jogging, biking, or whatever suits your fancy and fitness choices.
The annual Members’ meeting is the first Monday in March and meetings of the Board of Directors are always open to members.
